Many were chanting “rain, rain, go away. Come back another day,” but the rain could not stop TEAM Illinois! Despite the down pour of cold rain, we qualified 29 athletes for the REGIONAL Qualifier, clinched 6th Central District Champion titles, set numerous personal records!

We have many athletes who were slated to compete in those events; they are now able to move on to the regional qualifier.

Personal Record Spotlight!
Lerrah G. (8 & U G) threw the Shot Put (2k – 6.6 lb) three (3) feet farther than last week with a throw of 20 feet 7 inches We are very proud of your accomplishment!

Candice Jackson (17 – 18W) ran two personal bests today. In the 1500m, she shaved 20 seconds off her time running 5:17.17. In the 800m Run, she set a 2 second personal record. Candice, you are an amazing runner.
