AAU ILLINOIS CANCELLED IN MIDST OF COVID-19

13 May 2020 by Rush Athletics -Illinois Rush

It is with great sadness that I announce the cancelation the AAU Central District Championship and Region 13 National Qualifier meets. A number of factors have led to this decision, most notably is that Coronavirus cases are still on the rise in Illinois and have risen to a level that places this state third in the nation, only New York and New Jersey have more cases.

Additionally, Governor J. B. Pritzker has not lifted a mandatory shelter in place order. It would be extremely difficult to resume activities on a major scale any time soon.

As such, we will hold off proceeding with events until such time as we receive further guidance on shelter in place strategy from the state. At that time, we will announce the next phase. Until then, please be safe and stay healthy. All the best!

Sports for all, forever!
