Summer Session Track Season Is a GO!

25 May 2020 by Rush Athletics -Illinois Rush

On Tuesday, May 5th, Governor Pritzker released Restore Illinois, a five-phased plan that will reopen our state, guided by health metrics and with marked by distinct business, education, and recreation activities characterizing each phase. We are currently starting Phase 3 on May 29th. Under the Restore Illinois framework, certain businesses and activities are allowed to resume in Phase 3 with IDPH-approved safety guidance in place.

To prepare our organization (coaching staff, athletes, volunteers, and parents) to implement the new safety guidelines and to bring our athletes back to training and competing, the State of Illinois has developed resources to ensure youth athletic training and activities are conducted in accordance with the latest and greatest public health recommendations.

We have OPENED REGISTRATION for the 2020 Summer Track & Field season for the next two week and looking to start training Friday, May 29th. Per the new safety guidelines, once we will close registration, we will not be allowed to let new or returning athletes join our program for the remainder of the season. As of right now, our training program will commence from Troy Middle School at 6pm until we hear from Plainfield South and Frankfort Park District (Lincolnway North H.S.).
