Hot Off The Press: 2023 RUSH Athletes Achievements

Congratulations to our Rush athletes and coaches on their athletic achievements.

Kelli Blissett (Grade 12) graduated from Metea Valley H.S. Kelli’s high school career records include high jump (5ft. 1.75in.,), 300m hurdles (51.08 sec.), and triple jump (33ft. 9.5in.). Kelli is heading to college and will run for Purdue Northwest.

Anthony House Jr. (Grade 11) finished his season with personal records in the 400m (54.98 sec.), high jump (5ft. 10in.), and long jump (19ft. 7in.).

Maya Kelli (Grade 10) qualified for State in the 2A 100m Hurdles (16.70 sec.). She also set personal records in the long jump (16ft. 6in.), and triple jump (33ft. 4.75in.).

Monroe Thompson Jr. (Grade 10) clinched all-state status when he and his teammates placed 8th in the State Finals – 2A 4×100m Relay. One week prior, Monroe and his teammates broke the St. Laurence school and IHSA Class 2A TBR Sectional 3 meet records for the 4×100m relay. He also set personal records in the 100m (11.28 sec.), long jump (19ft. 3in.), and triple jump (40ft. 3.75in.).

Kwabena "GeeGee’ Osei-Yeboah (Grade 10) clinched all-state status when he placed 5th in the State Finals – 3A Long Jump. He broke Oak Park River Forest school record at sectionals jumping 23ft 6in.

John Hannah (Grade 10) finished his season with a personal record in the 200m (23.19 sec.). John holds Rush Athletes club records in the 200m (22.93 sec.) and 400m (51.03 sec.).

Korrine Horton (Grade 9) finished her season with personal records in the 100m (13.83 sec.) and 200m (29.23 sec.).

Skai Lincoln (Grade 9) finished her season with a personal record in discus throw (93ft. 10.75in.)

Grant Van Meter (Grade 9) finished his season breaking the school freshman records in the shot put (38ft. 3.75in.) and discus throw (117ft. 5.5in.).

Coach Myles Lincoln (junior in college) clinched his 6th All-American title at the NAIA Outdoor Nationals placing 5th in Triple Jump. Two weeks prior, Coach Myles won the Drake Relays – Triple Jump Championship title jumping 50ft. 5.25in and set a new Union College-KY school record.

Savannah Ming (sophomore in college) completed her second season at Drake University setting personal bests in the 100m (12.13 sec.) and 200m (24.79 sec.).

Maggie Dervis (sophomore in college) completed her second season at North Dakota University setting personal best in the 100m (12.91 sec.), 200m (26.08 sec.), and 400m (59.80 sec.).
